1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how HVDNA Translate processes information when you register, sign in, translate content, manage your profile, or use other service features.
2. Information we process
Account and profile information
- username;
- full name;
- email address;
- phone number, when provided;
- company or region, when provided;
- account role, status, creation time, and last sign-in time.
Translation information
- source and target languages;
- original text submitted for translation;
- translated text;
- model and operational metadata such as latency;
- translation history associated with your account.
Security and technical information
- IP address and browser/user-agent data in service logs;
- login, security, audit, and error events;
- rate-limit and anti-abuse information;
- session and CSRF security state.
Usage and campaign information
- daily/monthly translation usage and quota records;
- plan assignment and quota-exemption state;
- advertising campaign delivery and click events.
3. Why we process this information
We use service data to:
- provide real-time and text translation;
- authenticate users and protect accounts;
- store translation history requested by the service design;
- apply usage quotas and service-plan rules;
- prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access;
- diagnose errors and maintain service reliability;
- deliver eligible service messages or advertising campaigns;
- maintain audit records for administration and security.
4. Third-party processing
Groq
Translation requests may be sent to Groq API services for AI processing. The text necessary to perform a translation can therefore be transmitted to that provider.
Cloudflare Turnstile
Cloudflare Turnstile is used for human verification and abuse prevention. It may process network, device, browser, and challenge-related information as part of that security service.
Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices in addition to any contractual protections applicable to the service operator.
5. Cookies and session data
The service uses a strictly necessary session cookie to maintain authenticated sessions and security state. The current HVDNA session cookie is configured as Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, host-only, and non-persistent.

6. Data retention
Data is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, protect security, support audit and troubleshooting, administer accounts and quotas, and satisfy applicable legal or operational obligations.
Different data categories may require different retention periods. Security and audit information may be retained longer than ordinary service activity where reasonably necessary.
7. Data security
Current safeguards include HTTPS enforcement, Secure and HttpOnly session cookies, SameSite protection, session-ID rotation, inactivity and absolute session lifetimes, CSRF protection, same-origin checks, browser session binding, security headers, rate limiting, and administrative access controls.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and your relationship with the service operator, you may have rights to request access, correction, export, restriction, deletion, or deactivation of personal data.
Some information may need to be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute handling, or legitimate audit purposes.
9. International processing
Third-party infrastructure or AI providers may process data in locations different from your own. Where required, the service operator should use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when service features, providers, security controls, or legal requirements materially change. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
